21 AT C3: Day 12 Devotion

Jan 15, 2026    Minister LaKendra Grimes

Reading: Hebrews 10:24-25

Devotional: The early church gathered daily, not weekly. They understood something we've forgotten: isolation weakens while community strengthens. The writer of Hebrews warned that some were "in the habit" of neglecting corporate worship, and he urged believers to gather even more frequently as they saw "the day approaching." That day is now. We live in the future the prophets spoke about, yet many believers treat Sunday worship as maximum Christian commitment rather than minimum requirement. You cannot live on overflow while neglecting the primary place where God overflows among His people. Corporate worship isn't just about what you receive; it's about what you contribute. Your testimony encourages others. Your presence strengthens the body. Your worship creates an atmosphere for God's presence. The darker the days become, the more essential our togetherness. Don't let busyness, convenience, or cultural norms rob you of this fuel source.

Reflection Question: Is attending church every Sunday your maximum effort or your minimum commitment? What would it look like to increase your involvement in community?
